The title compound was prepared in accordance with the general method of Example 1, from 2-(but-3-ynyl)-4-(4-fluorophenyl)-5-methyl-2H-1,2,3-triazole (265 mg, 1.16 mmol) and 2-bromopyridine (201 mg, 1.27 mmol). Reaction time: 2 hours. The crude residue was purified by flash chromatography (DCM/MeOH 99:1) to yield 306 mg (1.00 mmol, 86%) of 2-(4-(4-(4-fluorophenyl)-5-methyl-2H-1,2,3-triazol-2-yl)but-1-ynyl)pyridine as a brown oil.
