Imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-3-carbonyl chloride hydrochloride (0.97 mg, 4.46 mmol) was slowly added in portions to a stirred solution of 3-amino-4-bromo-N-(2-(4-methylpiperazin-1-yl)benzyl)benzamide (step 1) (900 mg, 2.23 mmol) in dry pyridine (15 ml). The reaction was stirred at RT for 18 hrs and quenched with water. The solvent removed in vacuo. The residue was treated with a small amount of MeOH to dissolve insoluble material then partitioned between aq. NaHCO3 and DCM. The organic extract was washed with brine, dried over MgSO4 and concentrated in vacuo. The crude product mixture was crystallised from MeOH to give a white solid;
