A suspension of 3-[3-[[1-[2-(2-chloroethoxy)phenyl]-1-methylethyl]amino]-2-oxo-1(2H)-pyrazinyl]-N-cyclopropyl-5-fluoro-4-methyl-benzamide (Example 252k, 0.5 g) dissolved in 1,4-dioxane (2 mL) was treated with 70% ethylamine (2 mL) in a sealed tube. The resulting mixture was stirred at 100° C. for 1 h in a microwave (100 W). Evaporation and purification by preparative HPLC (Waters X-Terra column using a 95-5% gradient of aqueous 0.2% ammonia in acetonitrile as eluent) gave the title compound (0.255 g).
