Reaction Steps

The reaction and aftertreatment were conducted in the same manner as in Example 1a by using the N-(2,4-dimethoxybenzyl)-2,4,5-trifluoro-N-(1,2,4-thiadiazol-5-yl)benzenesulfonamide (WO 2010/079443; 350 mg, 0.786 mmol), (1S*,2R*)-2-phenylcycloheptanol (150 mg, 0.788 mmol), sodium hydride (63%; 60 mg, 1.58 mol) and DMSO (4.0 mL), to yield the title compound (140 mg, 29%) as a colorless oil.
