A vial was charged with 1-(5-bromo-6-methoxypyridin-2-yl)pyrrolidin-3-ol (100.0 mg, 0.37 mmol), methyl 6-chloro-5-(5,5-dimethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborinan-2-yl)-1H-indole-3-carboxylate (176.4 mg, 0.55 mmol), Pd(dppf)Cl2 (26.8 mg, 0.04 mmol), potassium carbonate (152 mg, 1.10 mmol, 2M/L aqueous) and toluene/ethanol (1.5 mL/0.5 mL). The mixture was purged with nitrogen for 5 minutes and then sealed. The reaction was heated to 80° C. overnight. The mixture was cooled to room temperature and filtered. The filtrate was diluted with water (5 mL) and extracted with ethyl acetate (5 mL×3). The organic layer was dried (sodium sulfate) and concentrated. The resulting residue was purified through prep. TLC (petroleum ether: ethyl acetate, 2:1) to give the title compound (52.5 mg, 35.7%) as an off-white solid. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) ppm: 8.62 (br. s), 8.05 (s, 1H), 7.89 (d, 1H), 7.50 (s, 1H), 7.35 (d, 1H), 6.00 (d, 1H), 4.61 (m, 1H), 3.89 (s, 3H), 3.87 (s, 3H), 3.73-3.57 (m, 4H), 2.24-2.05 (m, 2H).
