Methanolic solution of coenzyme Q10 (1 mg/ml) was reduced by NaBH4 to pH 8 when the yellow solution became colorless. About 1 mg of 3,8-(OH)2-DBP was added to the solution and the mixture was analyzed by HPLC at different time intervals (0-80 min). A control CoQ10, without 3,8-(OH)2-DBP, was prepared similarly and analyzed at different time intervals (0-80 min).
