The title compound was prepared by the procedure described in Example 1 using 16.3 g of 2-ethylphenyl-isothiocyanate, 15.3 g of sarcosine ethyl ester hydrochloride, 20.2 g of triethyl amine, and 300 mL of chloroform. The title compound (20.4 g) was obtained as an off-white solid, m.p. 135°-137° C. Anal. Calcd. for C12H14N2OS: C, 61.51; H, 6.02; N, 11.96. Found: C, 61.11; H, 5.92; N, 11.71. Mass spectrum (EI, M.+) m/z 234.
