Reaction Steps
Replacing the phenol with a molar equivalent of 4-methoxyphenol, the method of Example 9 was employed to convert 3-diazo-6-benzyloxy-4-chromanone (22 g) to present title product, 6.8 g, m.p. 98°-100° C.
