A solution of 30 mg (0.06 mmol) of 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-[2-methyl-1-(5-methyl-2-styryl-oxazol-4-ylmethyl)-2,3-dihydro-1H-indol-5-yl]-propan-2-ol (example 136) in 1 ml of methanol was treated with 15 mg of Pd/C (10%) and stirred under H2 at atmospheric pressure for 6 hours. Filtration and evaporation of the solvent gave 24 mg (77%) of 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-[2-methyl-1-(5-methyl-2-phenethyl-oxazol-4-ylmethyl)-2,3-dihydro-1H-indol-5-yl]-propan-2-ol, light yellow oil, MS: 499 (MH+).
