To a stirred solution of (R)-2-(benzo[1,3]dioxol-5-yloxy)-N-[4-(1-carbamoyl-ethoxy)-2-fluoro-benzyl]-nicotinamide (0.4 g, 0.88 mmol) in dichloromethane (20 ml)triethyloxonium tetrafluoroborate (0.17 g, 0.88 mmol) was added. The reaction was stirred at room temperature 16 h. The reaction was adsorbed onto a small amount of silica gel and column chromatography (2% methanol/dichloromethane) afforded 160 mg of the desired product as a colorless oil (38% yield).
