Reaction Steps
3-Amino-5-tert-butyl-thiophene-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester (0.50 g, 2.34 mmol, 1 eq.) and trifluoroacetamidine (263 mg, 2.34 mmol, 1 eq.) were heated neat at 150° C. until reaction was complete by TLC. Cooled to rt then dissolved resultant solids in chloroform. Dried and stripped in vacuo to give 540 mg of white solids as product. LCMS detects (M+H)+=277.
