A mixture of 5-(S)-acetamidomethyl-3-[4′-amino-3′-fluorophenyl]oxazoli-dine-2-one. (0.100 g, 0.374 mmol) and Lawesson's reagent (0.151 g, 0.374 mol) in dioxane (2 ml) was stirred at 65° C. for 2 h. The solution was concentrated under vacuum and the residue purified by PTLC (10% methanol/dichloromethane) to give a tan solid (0.104 g, 98%); mp 137-88° C.; MS: (M+H)+=284.
