Reaction Steps
0.105 g (0.257 mmol) of the compound of Example 9 is dissolved in 25 ml of 90% THF: 10% water. 10 equivalents of LiOH are added. The reaction is refluxed for 3 hours, 200 ml of EtOAc are added, acidified by concentrated HCl and the solution is washed with 2×100 ml of water and 1×100 ml of brine. Organic layer dried over MgSO4, and concentrated. The residue is purified on a silica gel column with 95% EtOAc, 5% MeOH to yield 30 mg of the product as a light yellow powder.
