A mixture of 2,6-dichloro-4-amino-7,8-dimethoxyquinazoline (1.50 g., 5.47 mmole) and 1-(2-furoyl)piperazine (1.08 g., 5.99 mmole) was refluxed in 40 ml. isoamyl alcohol for 2 hours and then cooled overnight. The resulting solid was filtered and recrystallized from methanol/ether to yield 1.83 g. (74%) of pure final product, M.P., 208°-9° C.
