Reaction Steps

1-(5'-[3"-(t-Butyidimethylsilyloxy)propyloxy]-2'-nitrophenyl]-2-propen-1-one (the compound of Example 31-(2)) (1.84 g) is mixed with THF (20 ml) and 50% aqueous acetic acid solution (30 ml), and the mixture is stirred at room temperature overnight. The reaction solution is concentrated under reduced pressure, and the residue is purified by silica gel column chromatography to give 1-[5'-(3"-hydroxypropyloxy)-2'-nitrophenyl]-2-propen-1-one (1.26 g).
