To a methanol solution of 26 mg (0.062 mmol) of 5-(3-phenylpropylidene)-3-[4-(imidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-5-ylthio)butyl]oxazolidine-2,4-dione, 0.02 ml of 4N hydrochloric acid-ethyl acetate was added, followed by stirring, after which the solvent was distilled off, to yield 29 mg (quant, yellow oily substance) of the desired product.
