Procedure

9-Aminononanenitrile (4.0 g, 0.26 mol) was treated with 3-chlorobenzene sulphonyl chloride (5.5 g, 0.26 mol) by the method described in Example 6(i) to give the title compound (4.4 g, m.p. 42°-3° C.).
