Reaction Steps

The title compound was prepared from 5-n-butyl-4-[[2'-(N-t-butylsulfamoyl)biphenyl-4-yl]methyl]-2-[5-(carbomethoxy)-2-chlorophenyl)-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazol-3-one (from Step B) according to the procedure of Example 13, Step B, and was obtained in 65% yield as a white solid after flash chromatography, mp 182°-184° C., homogenous by TLC (19:1 CH2Cl2 --MeOH); mass spectrum (FAB) m/e 555 (M+1)+.
