Procedure
A mixture of 1.25 g (4.16 mmol) Ethyl 1-(5-difluoromethoxy-1-methyl-3-pyrazolyl)-5-methyl-4-pyrazolecarboxylate, 20 ml ethanol and 0.97 ml aqueous sodium hydroxide (45%) was stirred for 1 hour at 80° C. The reaction solution was concentrated to a half and acidified with hydrochloric acid (37%). The precipitate was suction filtered off, washed with water and dried.
