A miture of 2-[2-(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)guanidino]-4-(4-isothiocyanatobutyl)thiazole (0.33 g.) and o-phenylenediamine in alcohol (5 ml.) was heated under reflux for 2 hours. Evaporation of the reaction mixture to dryness gave 2-[2-(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)-guanidino]-4-[4-(3-[2-aminophenyl]thioureido)butyl]-thiazole as an oil which was used without further purification.
