Following a procedure analogous to that of Example 11 but using phenyl(diethoxymethyl)phosphine oxide instead of tertiary-butyl(diethoxymethyl)phosphine oxide and n-propyl bromide instead of iso-butyl bromide there is obtained phenyl(n-propyl)(diethoxymethyl)phosphine oxide as a colourless oil. 31P NMR 35.845 ppm (CDCl3)
