Hydromorphone beads were prepared by dissolving hydromorphone HCl in water, adding Opadry®, and mixing for about 1 hour, and then spraying onto nu pariel 18/20 beads using a Wurster insert. The resultant coated beads were then overcoated with Opadry® Y-5-1442 light pink (15% w/w). The beads were then overcoated with a aqueous dispersion of Aquacoat® to a 15% weight gain according to Table 15 below:

2. additionmixing for about 1 hour
