Procedure
To a solution of cis-benzyl-(6,7-dimethoxy-2-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-quinolin-4-yl)-carbamic acid ethyl ester (Example 66) (103 mg, 0.268 mmol) in toluene (2.5 mL) was added phosgene (1.0 mL of a 1.93M solution in toluene) and the reaction mixure was heated at reflux for 2 h. The reaction mixture was then concentrated in vacuo to give the desired carbamoyl chloride (110 mg, 92%).
