Procedure

Using 1,2,3,4-tetramethoxy-5-methyl-6-(4-chloro-3-methyl-2-butenyl)benzene and methyl p-hydroxycinnamate and following the procedure described above, there were obtained methyl 4-[4-(2,3,4,5-tetramethoxy-6-methylphenyl)-2-methyl-2-butenyloxy]cinnamate (Compound 11) and 4-[4-(2,3,4,5-tetramethoxy-6-methylphenyl)-2-methyl-2-butenyloxy]-cinnamic acid (Compound 12).
