Reaction Steps
This compound is prepared by the same procedure described in Example 35, Step B, except that diethyl 2-acetyl-2-[3-(1-acetoxycyclohexyl)-2-propyn-1-yl]azelate is substituted for diethyl 2-acetyl-2-(4-acetoxy-2-nonyn-1-yl)azelate. The chromatographically purified product is a yellowish viscous oil; pmr (CDCl3)δ 2.14 (3H,s CH3C0), 6.50 (2H,s OH and COOH).
