Procedure
To a solution of 1.0 g of N-[3-[2-(1H- imidazol-1-yl)ethoxy]phenyl]-4-(2-thienyl)-2-pyrimidinamine in 10 ml of hot ethyl alcohol is added 5 ml of ethyl alcohol containing 0.27 of sulfamic acid. Crystals begin to form and the reaction mixture is cooled. The solid is collected by filtration, washed with ethyl alcohol and dried to afford the desired product.
