134.5 g (0.8 mol) of the 1-amino-4-acetylamino-3-fluorobenzene prepared above under A. are heated at 85° C. together with 800 ml of water and 34 g of acetic acid. 86.5 g of acetic anhydride are added to this mixture in the course of one hour. The reaction mixture is subsequently stirred at the same temperature for a further hour and cooled to 15° C. The product which has precipitated is then filtered off, washed twice with 150 ml of water each time and dried.
