1-[(5-Acetyl-2-methoxy-6-methylpyridin-3-yl)aminocarbonyl]-4-(3,5-dimethoxylphenyl)piperazine(200 mg, 0.5 mmol) was dissolved in dimethylfornamide(15 ml) and thereto sodium hydride(18.5 mg, 0.5 mmol) was added, then followed by stirring at room temperature for 15 min, and ethylbromoacetate(83.5 mg, 0.5 mmol) was added. The resulting mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 hrs, concentrated under the reduced pressure to remove the used solvent, and purified by column chromatography(ethylacetate:hexane=1:2) to obtain the titled compound.
