1-[(4,5-dimethyl-2-methoxyphenyl)aminocarbonyl]-4-(3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)piperazine(0.2 g, 0.5 mmole) was dissolved in dimethylformamide(15 ml), sodium hydride(12 mg, 0.5 mmole) was added thereto slowly, and then the resulting mixture was stirred at room temperature for 15 min, then followed by addition of iodomethane(71 mg, 0.5 mmole) and subsequently at room temperature for 16 hours. The resulting mixture was concentrated under the reduced pressure to remove the used solvent, extracted with methylene chloride, dried, filtered and purified by column chromatography to obtain the titled compound.
