A solution of 14-3 (0.180 g, 0.62 mmol) and NaOH (1.24 mL of a 1N soln, 1.24 mmol) in THF/H2O (5 mL/5 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 12 h. The solution was concentrated. The residue was triturated with Et2O to give 14-4.
