The title compound was prepared in a manner similar to that described in Example 2A using ethyl 7-methyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydroazepino[4,5-b]indole-5-carboxylate and acetyl chloride; 1H-NMR (CDCl3): δ 10.50 (1H, br s), 8.12 (1H, br s), 7.36 (1H, d), 7.01 (2H, m), 4.39 (2H, q), 4.01 (2H, m), 3.16 (2H, m), 2.53 (3H, s), 2.39 (3H, s), 1.43 (3H, t); MS (ES): 313 (MH+).
