Reaction Steps
2-(2-Methoxyphenyl)-4-methoxypiperidine was converted to the title compound in two steps by the same procedures as the transformation of 2-methoxymethyl-5-(2-methoxyphenyl)-tetrahydropyrrole to 2-methoxymethyl-5-(2-methoxyphenyl)-1-(2-aminoethyl)-tetrahydropyrrole as described above in Preparations 23 and 24. 1H NMR (CDCl3, 400 MHz) δ:3.80 (3H, S, OMe), 3.31 (3H, s, OMe).
