The title compound was prepared according to the procedure described in step 2 of Example 1 from 4-chloro-2-(ethoxycarbonylamino)benzonitrile (Example 1, step 1) and 2-bromo-3′-trifluoromethylacetophenone (M. Kihara, M. Kashimoto, and Y. Kobayashi, Tetrahedron, 1992, 48, 67-78). 1H-NMR (CDCl3) δ: 8.25 (1H, d, J=1.8 Hz), 8.03 (1H, br s), 7.89 (1H, br d, J=7.7 Hz), 7.74 (1H, br d, J=8.1 Hz), 7.59-7.54 (2H, m), 7.33 (1H, dd, J=1.8, 8.4 Hz), 5.93 (2H, br s), 3.80 (2H, q, J=7.0 Hz), 0.88 (3H, t, J=7.0 Hz)
