Reaction Steps

Prepared according to the method described in Example 4b) from (2S)-2-(6-bromonaphthalen-2-yloxy)-propionic acid ethyl ester (12.45 g, Example 10a)) and sodium borohydride (1.6 g) in ethanol (150 ml). The crude material was purified by column chromatography over silica eluting with ethanol:dichloromethane (1:99) to give the sub-title compound as a solid (10.5 g).
