A mixture of 0.243 g of the above intermediate 3A, 0.17 ml of diisopropylethylamine, 0.08 ml of 2-furoyl chloride in 10 ml of dichloromethane was stirred at room temperature for 10 hours. The solution was diluted with dichloromethane (10 ml), washed with water (4×10 ml), 2N NaOH (4×10 ml), water (4×10 ml), dried (Na2SO4) and evaporated to dryness. The residue was purified by flash chromatography eluting with petroleum ether:ethyl acetate 100:2 to give 0.2 g (68%) of the title compound as an ivory solid.
