A solution of 0.083 g (0.255 mmol) of 4-phenyl-4-(3-(2-methoxyphenyl)-3-oxo-2-azaprop-1-yl)piperidine (Example 2), 0.083 mL (1 mmol) of pyridine and 0.12 mL (1 mmol) of benzoyl chloride in 2 mL of methylene chloride was mixed for 18 hr. The reaction was diluted with methylene chloride and washed with saturated NaHCO3. The organic fraction was dried over MgSO4 and the filtrate was concentrated. The residue was purified by chromatography (silica, ethyl acetate) to give the title compound.
