A solution of amide from Example 38 (0.2 g) in chloroform (5 ml) was treated with 70% m chloroperbenzoic acid (0.14 g). The reaction mixture was stirred for two days. calcium hydroxide (0.09 g) added and after stirring for a further 0.5 h the mixture was filtered. The filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to yield the sub-title product as a white solid (0.23 g).
