5 g of the compound obtained in Step A are dissolved in 100 ml of dichloromethane. The reaction mixture is then cooled in an ice-bath, and 3.81 ml of boron tribromide are added dropwise. After stirring at room temperature for two hours, the reaction mixture is poured into 500 ml of water and ice. The precipitate that forms is filtered off, washed with water and oven-dried at 50° C.
