The procedure described in Example 35 was followed, using 1.3 g of phenyl isocyanate, 3.0 g of 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzyl)piperazin-1-yl]ethanethiol and 100 ml of methylene chloride, to give 2.2 g (43% of theory) of N-phenyl-S-{2-[4-(4-chlorobenzyl)piperazin-1-yl]ethyl}thiocarbamate dihydrochloride as a white crystalline solid, M.p. 232°-236° C.
