3-(4-benzyloxy-3-methoxy-5-trifluoromethylbenzoyl)-1,1-dioxo-2,3-dihydro-1,3-benzothiazole (574 mg) was dissolved in tetrahydrofuran (6 mL), and 5% palladium-carbon (310 mg) was added to the solution, and then the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 22 hours under a hydrogen atmosphere. The reaction solution was filtered, and then the solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure and the obtained residue was crystallized from n-hexane-chloroform to obtain the title compound (353 mg) as a colorless crystal.
