3-(4-benzyloxy-3-trifluoromethylbenzoyl)-1,1-dioxo-2,3-dihydro-1,3-benzothiazole (490 mg) was dissolved in tetrahydrofuran (5 mL) and methanol (5 mL), and 20% palladium hydroxide-carbon (100 mg) was added to the solution, and then the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 6 hours under a hydrogen atmosphere. After the reaction solution was filtered, the solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure and then the obtained residue was crystallized from diethylether to obtain the title compound (397 mg) as a colorless crystal.
