((1R)-1-phenylethyl)(3-amino-6-(5-quinolyl)(4-pyridyl))amine ((1R)-1-Phenylethyl)(5-nitro-2-(5-quinolyl)(4-pyridyl))amine (500 mg, 1.35 mmol) was dissolved in ethanol (100 mL). Palladium on carbon (70 mg) was added followed by a hydrogen balloon. The reaction was stirred at room temperature for 18 h, then filtered through celite. The filtrate was condensed under reduced pressure to afford the desired product (450 mg, 97.9%). (MS (ESI) m/z 341 [M+1]+.
