To 1 mL of a dichloromethane solution containing 71.7 mg (0.105 mmol) of [2-(morpholin-4-yl)]ethyl(4S)-3-oxo-8-[2-(8-tert-butoxycarbonyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidin-2-yl)ethoxy]-2-(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1H-2-benzazepin-4-acetate obtained in Example 10-(a) was added 2.00 mL (8.00 mmol) of 4N hydrogen chloride/1,4-dioxane solution, and the resulting mixture was stirred under nitrogen gas atmosphere at room temperature for 12 hours.
