Procedure
Jone's Reagent (5.75 mL, 8.6 mmol) was added to a solution of 1-(2,4-difluoro-phenyl)-8-(3-fluoro-benzyl)-1,4,5,6,7,8-hexahydro-cycloheptapyrazole-3-carbaldehyde Compound 1h (1.65 g, 4.31 mmol) in acetone (20 mL) at 0° C. under a N2 atmosphere. The resulting suspension was stirred overnight, while warming to r.t., then filtered through a pad of celite to afford 1-(2,4-difluoro-phenyl)-8-(3-fluoro-benzyl)-1,4,5,6,7,8-hexahydro-cycloheptapyrazole-3-carboxylic acid Compound 2a as a solid.
Workup
