A mixture of 3-(2-amino-5-benzoyl-benzylamino)-N-cyclohexyl-N-methyl-propionamide (0.017) prepared as described in Example 3 in ethanol (250 mL) was stirred at room temperature and cyanogen bromide (0.027 mol) was added. The reaction mixture was stirred and refluxed for 3 hours, then cooled. The solvent was evaporated and the residue was crystallized from CH3CN. The precipitate was filtered off and dried to yield the title compound as a residue.
