N-(3-(4-Carbomethoxymethylphenoxy)phenyl)-N-(ethanesulfonyl)pyrid-3-ylmethylamine (1.0 equiv.) was dissolved in THF (3.3 M) and treated with 1N NaOH (3 equiv.). The reaction was stirred overnight then concentrated in vacuo to remove THF. The pH was adjusted to 4 with HCl, which caused the title compound to precipitate. The solid was collected via filtration washing with pH=4 water to give the title compound. Anal Calcd for C22H22N2O5S.0.2H2O: C, 61.44; H, 5.25; N, 6.51. Found: C, 61.39; H, 5.12; N, 6.59. MS found 427.0 [M+H]+
