Reaction Steps

To a solution of 2-amino-4-[4-(4-fluorophenyl)methyl-1-piperidinyl]-1-phenyl-butan-3-ol (50 mg, 0.14 mmoles) in 2.5 mL of dry THF was added 3-cyanophenyl isocyanate (20.2 mg, 0.14 mmoles) and the mixture was stirred for 15 minutes at room temperature. Then the solvent was evaporated off to give an oily residue. It was purified by column chromatography on silica gel with elution by EtOAc to give pure titled compound as an amorphous solid. MS (ES+) for C30H33FN4O2: 501.
