Reaction Steps

(2S)-2-(azidomethyl)-1-[cis-4-(4-fluorobenzyl)cyclohexyl]pyrrolidine (45 mg), 10% Pd/C (10 mg, Aldrich) and 5 ml of methanol were hydrogenated for 16 hours at 50 PSI. The reaction was filtered through fiberglass filter paper under nitrogen. The filtrate was stripped to yield 58 mg of an amber oil as product. MS (ESI) detects 291 (M+H).
