With use of 7-chloro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-1-(2-thiazolyl)-1,8-naphthyridine-3-carboxylic acid ethyl ester obtained in Example A-1 (4) and (+)-trans-3-(N-t-butoxycarbonylmethylamino)-4-methoxypyrrolidine obtained in Example B-2, there was produced (-)-7-[trans-3-(N-t-butoxycarbonylmethylamino)-4-methoxy-1-pyrrolidinyl]-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-1-(2-thiazolyl)-1,8-naphthyridine-3-carboxylic acid ethyl ester (amorphous) in the same manner as in Example C-1 (1).
