Beginning with 0.30 gm (1.30 mMol) 5-amino-3-(1-methylpiperidin-4-yl)pyrrolo[3,2-b]pyridine and 0.34 gm (1.56 mMol) 2-pyridinecarbonyl chloride, 0.098 gm (26%) of the title compound were prepared as a crystalline solid essentially by the procedure described in Example 4.
